Sunflower is a symbol of the Sun. Symbol of solar energy, life, health, fertility and prosperity. The sunflower has long been a symbol of the Ukrainian land. According to popular belief, sunflower can transformation negative energy, so it was planted near the house.
Ukraine ranks first as a producer of sunflower seeds and oil. Therefore, in Ukrainian heraldry, the sunflower is a symbol of fertility, unity and peace, because its ripe grains are firmly united in a single circle.
